Our Reserves currently compete in the Cumberland County League. We’ve had various Reserve teams over the last 7 decades but the current team is well established despite only being formed officially in the 2019-20 season. The team is made up some experienced County League players and a significant number of 16-18 year old players who are making the transition to adult football! This brings its challenges in what can only be described as a thriving and competitive league but it also presents many opportunities as we look develop these younger players.
Our Reserves play a key role as we look to implement changes that will allow us to achieve our objectives as set out in the club’s strategy. Having a Reserves team allows us to transition players from Under 16’s to the adult game, provides a platform for those who show potential to reach the First Team and also for First Team fringe players to get the opportunity to play football and support our Reserves achieving their targets each season.
