Safeguarding
Windscale AFC take our responsibilities to safeguard the welfare of children and adults very seriously. We continuously strive to make the game more inclusive, safe, and enjoyable for every child and adult, whatever their role, whether it’s as a player, match official, grounds person or volunteer.
Windscale AFC have volunteers appointed at all levels of the game with specific designated safeguarding responsibilities. Their roles are to advise and guide, implement all forms of safeguards across football and work with our colleagues at the Cumberland FA to monitor compliance with the safeguarding requirements and to manage safeguarding and child protection concerns and referrals.
Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone within Windscale Football Club, this includes all volunteers, parents, players, committee members, club officials etc. If you are worried about a child or adult it is important that you report your concerns – no action is not an option.
If you have a safeguarding concern about anyone within Windscale AFC you would normally contact one of our club welfare officers in the first instance.
Nichola Branney, who can be contacted on 07895000344 or email WindscaleAFC@talktalk.net

- How our behaviours and actions can make a difference
- The importance of ensuring that children and adults have a voice and are heard
- The role and duties of those with specific safeguarding responsibilities
- When and how to report concerns relating to our organisation
